Appointment Reminders
This feature is only available in Marketing or Enterprise plans.
This page explains how to create automated SMS reminders before or after an appointment date of a user, as specified in the appointmentdate user profile field.
To create an appointment reminder, go to the AUTOMATION tab, then to “Appointment Reminders,” and click on the “Add Reminder” button. Create your reminder by selecting when you want the reminder to be triggered (before, after, or on the date of appointmentdate). You can also select the number of days before or after the appointment date, as well as the preferred time.
You can assign either a chatbot or a Schedule Flow to a reminder.
Assign appointmentdate to users
There are several ways to assign an appointmentdate to a user. You can do it manually, on the right panel of the CHATS page, or have a chatbot collect this information from the user, use the API, or bulk-upload users with their appointment dates.
To use the csv upload method, go to SETTINGS → Users → Upload User CSV. An example CSV file could look like this:
After uploading the CSV, click the ‘Save Users’ button. The user(s) should now be assigned an appointment date and are able to have appointment reminders assigned to them.
View upcoming reminders
The system periodically checks the appointmentdate field of all users and assigns the upcoming reminders. You can schedule reminders for the next day by going to AUTOMATION → Advanced → Assigned Campaigns.
